Shree Guest House is a small guesthouse of nine rooms, a couple of minutes on foot from the Main Square, set among trees. Rooms are Deluxe, Standard and Budget, all with a double bed and a private bathroom, with a TV in some. It has a cafe where guests are offered coffee each day, free parking, WiFi in public areas and a 24-hour front desk.
Guests describe it as good value and pleasantly quiet. The honest drawback is the approach: the lane to the guesthouse is steep and one reviewer found the climb of around 200 metres hard going, so ask about vehicle access if you have limited mobility or a lot of luggage. The Himalayan wellness spa, a tea shop and the Namgyalma Stupa with its prayer wheels are all within a few minutes. It suits budget travellers, couples and solo visitors.
