About Glenmoor Cottages
Glenmoor is a small cluster of stone cottages set in private woodland of deodar, oak and rhododendron above Mall Road, on the McLeod Ganj side of Forsyth Ganj. It has been run by the same family for many years, and guests frequently mention the owners' personal attention and home-cooked vegetarian meals.
The cottages are independent units with a sitting and dining area and a small kitchenette corner, so they suit couples and families who want space and privacy rather than a conventional hotel room. There are walking trails within the grounds, and the setting is quiet enough that birdsong is the main background noise. McLeod Ganj's main square is roughly a 10 to 15 minute walk away, so you can dip into town for dinner and retreat afterwards. Note that some reviewers find extras and meals pricey, and in the monsoon the forest location can make cottages feel damp.
