WelcomHeritage Natraj is one of the more recent additions to McLeod Ganj, opened by the WelcomHeritage group (part of the ITC family of hotel brands). It has 32 rooms and sits about 200 metres from the residence of the Dalai Lama, so the temple complex and Namgyal Monastery are a short walk away. Views of the Dhauladhar range feature from the terrace and bar.

Facilities are generous for a town where most hotels are squeezed onto narrow plots: there is a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a library, a bar, an open terrace and meeting space, plus a restaurant cooking regional and international dishes. Parking is included, which matters a great deal in McLeod Ganj. It is a good fit for couples and families who want a polished, full-service hotel without giving up a walkable location, and for small corporate groups on retreat.
